LECTURE SERIES –
FREE PUBLIC EVENT
Speakers will include:
Hugo McNeill, Former Rugby International.
Title: Trying to represent a Shared Ireland while playing under the Tricolour.
Brian Murphy,
Lecturer in Communications, Technological University of Dublin. Title: Patriots, presidents and People: This wonderful flag belongs to us all.
Dr. Jennifer Kavanagh, Lecturer in Law, South East Technological University.
Title: How do we get to the peace in the white of the Tricolour.
Venue: Waterford Medieval Museum
Time: 10.00am
AFTERNOON
Visitors and friends of the Thomas Francis Meagher Celebrations may take the opportunity to visit some of Waterford’s spectacular attractions, including: Bishop’s Palace Museum; Medieval Museum, Museum of Irish Silver; Irish Museum of Time; King of the Vikings (virtual experience); Waterford Crystal; Waterford Whiskey Distillery’ Tramore Sea side town, with magnificent beach and surfing; Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens Tramore; Dunmore East Adventure Centre; Waterford Greenway.

MARCH & FLAG RAISING CEREMONY
March from the Granville Hotel, Meagher Quay, to the Mall, by members of the Defence Forces, Veterans and Marching Bands.
Ceremonial Flag Raising on the Mall, outside House of Waterford Crystal at 12.30pm.
